Staging a Kitchen

Here are four ways to spruce up your kitchen when you are selling your home from the energized seller:

1-Declutter—get rid of everything you no longer use. Organize or toss any papers or coupons that have been accumulating. Clean out the pantry-donate what you will not use. Organize your cabinets and pantry. Take all pictures and papers off the front of your fridge. Clear the counter tops.

2-Deep Clean–Kitchens sell homes!! So make sure it is spotless. Clean everything-the ceiling, walls, light fixtures, cabinets, curtains, blinds, windows……………you get the picture. Make sure it is sparkling. Don’t forget to clean the garbage disposal to get rid of any odors. Pour baking soda down the sink it will destroy any left over scents of last night’s dinner.

3-Make it Fresh–If you have wallpaper on your walls take it off. So many potential buyers will walk because they do not want to be bothered with wall paper removal. Paint your kitchen a  neutral color. This gives it an instant face lift. If your cabinets are looking worn you can give them a coat of paint as well. Change out the hardware if it is outdated.

4- Finally. Make it feel inviting and warm. Add some fresh flowers to the table. Or a bowl of green apples or lemons. Put a candle out that smells of cinnamon or apples. You want potential buyers to imagine themselves sitting around your table with their family.

Stage One Has a New Vendor in Home Decor

Quick Kitchen Update

When your selling your home the Kitchen is key. Nothing says tired and old like a countertop that is outdated. Granite is the king of choices but also the MOST expensive. Try Loew’s new product. “Countertop Transformations” It is only $250 compared to the expense of granite and you can do it yourself. It comes out beautiful!! It is a quick fix and it will upgrade your kitchen.

WHY STAGE A VACANT HOME?

Only 10% of home buyers can actually visualize the potential of a home.

9 out of 10 people walk thru an empty home and can not envision the possibilities that it has. It is difficult for them to judge the size and scale of the rooms. When you place a vacant home on the market potential buyers are more likely to pick out the flaws because there is no where else for their eye to go.

Why do you think builders furnish a sample home? People don’t buy houses they buy homes. You want your property to be warm and inviting so they can see their family sitting in that warm cozy family room watching a movie together.

Staging your vacant home cost less than your first price reduction. Why take the chance of your home sitting on the market?
